The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

THE DETAILS

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

Have always loved this product. Have been ordering it for decades. Sadly, the cost has gotten out-of-hand...might possibly be the last year we order it. 2023 cost is $39.00. Simply not sustainable. End of an era.

The English Walnut Povitica was our first and it was Great. The texture and texture were excellent and too sweet. We are planning to order the Povitica again and try their other bakery products in the very near future.

My brother was pleased to see the amt. of nuts in it. said it was delicious but that he thought you used sugar in making it and our mother always used honey. except for that, it was so good.

Usually my poticas have a thick filling portion with a thick bread portion, not evenly distributed like the photo here. Tastes good but visually not like my mother used to make.

I received mine right away. Just divine. Reminds me so much of my grandma’s povitica growing up. However, I also ordered one for my parents Ray and Carole Zakrzewski, Ypsilanti, MI, and one for a former neighbor, Tommy Ontko in Ramrod Key, FL. Tommy got his long after me. My parents still have not received theirs and I chose the first available date like December 6.
