How to Keep, Slice & Prepare Povitica (Poh-va-teet-sa)
KEEP
Strawberry Hill Povitica is hand-made to order. Once received, your povitica will remain soft and fresh for up to a week on your countertop. If you're aiming for a bit longer, keep each loaf cool in your refrigerator for up to two weeks. If you have the will power, you can freeze your Povitica for up to three months.
SLICE
Grandma's only rule was to slice Povitica upside down, from the bottom to the top. This tasty little treat keeps all of your layers together nicely. Bits and pieces that fell off while slicing was quickly eaten. She'd say "That's the cooks cut!"
PREPARE
Preparing Povitica can't be covered in a third of a page, but for quick reference, you can slice and eat it right from the box, heat it in a griddle, or microwave, or add a pat of butter like we do every morning here at the bakery.
How to Keep, Slice & Prepare Strawberry Hill Coffee Cake
KEEP
Strawberry Hill Coffee Cake is hand-made to order. Once received, your coffee cake will remain soft and fresh for up to a week on your countertop. If you're aiming for a bit longer, keep each cake cool in your refrigerator for up to two weeks. If you have the will power, you can freeze your coffee cake for up to six months.
SLICE
Strawberry Hill Coffee Cake is made in a bake-able pan. Just turn it over, tap gentle and your cake will fall onto your cutting board or plate. If it sticks, run your fingers along the pan to loosen. By the way, the pan is now your lid. You can slice it a thick as you want, we won't tell anyone!
SERVE
Strawberry Hill Coffee Cake is best served chilled. Place it in your refrigerator for up to a week. We're pretty sure it will disappear quickly.
