The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

Delicious, decadent and simply wonderful. My niece lived in Shawnee, Kansas, and now lives in Jacksonville, Fla. She sent me the English walnut and another loaf for Christmas. I opened the English walnut. It brought back great memories. I love your baked goods!!!! Simply amazing and made with love.

Provitica is simply Excellent; in flavor, consistency, and ingredients. We were introduced to Strawberry Hilll by my Aunt, who sends out a lot of Provitica loaves, coffee cakes, etc every year. English Walnut is our favorite! June & Peter Vander Woude, Charlotte, NC.

Actually I love this local delight and have for many years loving in urban and ethnic Kansas. Now that I am old as are my acquaintances I can still feel the reduced sugar product is not just opened, smiled at, and then thrown away or given to some neighbor not controlling their weight.

I order this every year. It’s amazing and tastes just like my grandma’s. I can make a darn good nut bread ... but why go to all that trouble when this tastes just like gram’s lol?!!
