The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Walnut povitica and walnut coffee cake

My family has been purchasing Strawberry Hill povitica for 100 yrs as they were immigrants living on Strawberry Hill in the early 1900’s. Every Christmas we had blood sausage and povitica in the morning. Easter was bockwurst and povitica. I have continued purchasing for myself and my friends around the country. They are always fresh and everyone likes whatever flavor I send.

I bought this Povitica for my brother's 81st birthday because it looked very, very yummy! He called to thank me and said it was the best pastry that he has ever tasted. I'm going to order one for myself as soon as I finish the strawberry-lemon cream cheese coffee cake, which by the way, was the best ever also. Buy these delicious cakes and you will absolutely not be disappointed. They are fit for a Queen.
