The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

The English Walnut Povitica has been the best for as long as I remember, through the 1940's and 1950's in the old neighborhood I grew up in Kansas City, MO. We had it every year around Christmas - it was part of our family tradition. It's still just as good and we now have it as part of our Christmas food tradition.

The English Walnut Povitica is our favorite, although all of the varieties we've tried are great. I've been purchasing for years - both for home when we're having houseguests or for the holidays, and to send to friends as gifts. If I need to send a sympathy something, or a congratulatory something - what could be better?! We're never disappointed -the quality is consistent and each bite is delicious!
