A RAISIN FOR CELEBRATION
We always knew it was a truly special occasion when Grandma added plump California raisins to her English walnut povitica. Their earthy sweetness pairs perfectly with the freshly crushed walnuts, local honey and buttery pastry. Now we consider any day special enough to enjoy this delicious treat.

Love of Povitica
I also order every year. I remember my mother and aunts rolling and filling their orahnjaca's every holiday. A Croatian traditional dessert at our house. It took a little different shape but they also used golden raisins and occasionally they would add some chopped dates too. Your product is the closest to theirs. Delicious!

Tastes just like Mom's!
While my mother made orahnjaca, which is just a different shape(long log). It tastes just the same. My dad and I always order the walnut raisin and the poppy seed. Thank you for making these wonderful cakes!

Taste of childhood
My family made povitica every Christmas. The only difference was golden raisins. I remember the pastry spread out all over the big table before spreading out all the yummy ingredients and rolling it up. Just wonderful. I’m so thankful I can still have this memory of my childhood from you. I also order it every year for another family member as a Christmas gift. We both love it! It is just wonderful. Thank you!

Excellent
My mother was born in Czechoslovakia and one of our favorite breads she made were Kolachke. We had this every Christmas and truly looked forward to it. She made walnut raisin and poppy seed. We couldn’t wait for it to come out of the oven. When I got older, I began making it. It takes time. The Povitica is the closest I have found to my mother‘s original recipe. The only difference is that my mother ‘s recipe had more bread to it which we prefer. However, having said that, I have been ordering the Povitica during the past few years to save time. I have also given it as gifts and everyone loves it. I don’t care for the ones with cheese. They all taste like CHEESE.
