We crush the poppy seeds and fold them into layers of sweet citrus, local honey and a touch of sugar. Then we envelop this filling in our handmade dough to create a traditional pastry that has been enjoyed for generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

This is a wonderful culinary treat. My ancestors baked a similar a similar pastry. The loaves were made singly and longer and larger than psp, but the filling and bread were similar in taste, texture,etc. We love it and we sometimes gift a friend

My grandmother used to pronounce it "Potetsa". She made the walnut. roll also. Just don't go for a drug test after a few slices of the Poppy Seed.
