We crush the poppy seeds and fold them into layers of sweet citrus, local honey and a touch of sugar. Then we envelop this filling in our handmade dough to create a traditional pastry that has been enjoyed for generations.

Unbeatable taste and always very fresh
Again. I was disappointed that the package the Poppy Seed came in was not wrapped in plastic and the outer covering got wet, because it rained the day it arrived and I was not home. The contents stayed dry. Goody! Goody!

My Polish grandmother used to make something similar to povitica and yours is very much like it. Not too sweet with the wonderful walnut flavor. I will come back.

Best Tasting Povitica
I usually get the sampler around the holidays, but couldn’t wait any longer. It really is a great tasting. I eat with coffee in the morning or dessert after dinner.
