Then we envelop this filling in our handmade dough to create a traditional pastry that has been enjoyed for generations.

Yum! Poppy Seed Povitica
My order arrived a few days ago, & it was difficult deciding which to slice open. I decided on the Poppy Seed Povitica--mainly for the memories it brings of my mother making poppy seed rolls and nut rolls. My father's favorite was the poppy seed, so I recall those times from the past, watching mom roll out her dough and grinding the poppy seeds and nuts. Though her rolls were very good, your povitica tops mom's rolls. I look forward to sharing the several other varieties in my order over the holidays and am thinking of gifting the two remaining smaller loaves from the 3 pack. I'm definitely saving the larger poppy seed povitica all for myself!
