THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL

The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

THE DETAILS

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

Zelo dobro. Very good potica. Not as good as my Slovenian neighbor Mrs. Ponikvar used to make for us as I was growning up but close. Being half Slovenian and having been to Slovenia six times over the years I know a good potica and this is good pot

Last year I cut up a povitica and took it to my husband's junior American History class on the day I talked about my grandparents coming to the US from Croatia - and living on Strawberry Hill. The WV kids had never had povitica before and loved it - and asked me to bring it again. This week I took another plate for the senior Government class. There was nothing left at the end of class. Thank you!
