The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

Considering it is mass produced it is a great povitica. Well, not as good as my moms, my wife’s daughters,or Aunt Marys, we really enjoy it and so do friends we give it to. Keep up the good quality. We ordered some for Fat Tuesday and Easter.

The povitica is always the same high quality, and arrives quickly after ordering. I first saw an ad for it in the Parade magazine in the paper many years ago.
