The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

This is definitely my favorite. The rest of my family would also agree, since it doesn’t last very long when I set it out. It’s just right taste between walnuts and sweetness makes this perfect to serve anytime , from dessert to just snacking, if you can make it last that long. Before it’s all gone!

First things first, the order process was easy, the only trouble I had was deciding which of these delicious Povitica should go into my sampler! Shipping was fast, and the baked goods themselves...simply delicious. I wish I could buy them more often!

I saw an ad for this on Instagram. I had no idea what it would taste like but it looked delicious. I’m so happy I ordered it because it is absolutely delicious! I love the walnuts and the fact it’s not too sweet, it’s a great snack will definitely order again.

This bread is a family favorite TREAT! My 87 year old auntie is from Kansas City and she introduced us to this bread years ago. Her mother used to make it for Christmas and Easter and then years later the same wonderful treat is made for us. It is a delectable bread with a sweetness that is quite lovely. Give it a go.
