The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

THE DETAILS

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

I love all your “breads-cakes,” however you classify them. All I know is that I’m addicted. Have to have a slice every day. I have favorites but everyone I’ve tried is delicious. I’m even contemplating starting auto ship.

My mother-in-law used to make this for the family. I have made it a few times myself. Yours is the closest I have found to the kind she would make. That is a huge compliment. Even my brother-in-law agrees. We will be enjoying it at Easter!
