The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

I ordered this as a BOGO item because it looked good, I've never had "gourmet" anything and wasn't sure how I'd feel. It was ok when I tried it right out of the box but not really something I'd pay the price it was for...HOWEVER, I had to put it in the fridge after opening it so when I grabbed some the next day I warmed it for a minute in the microwave and it tastes so different, very good.

My mother used to made 'nut rolls' that tasted very similar to this so not only are they SUPER Delicious, but it takes me back home at the same time!

Excellent. This is my family's favorite. I had one sent to my cousin in Florida for her birthday. She couldn't stop raving about how packed with nuts it was. She & her husband enjoyed it as much as my family.
