The secret recipe for English walnut povitica was Grandma’s first gift to us, and the original remains our bestseller to this day. We crush farm-fresh English walnuts and fold in sweet creamery butter, honey and real sugar. Then we roll it by hand in just enough of our delicate pastry dough to bring the filling together into buttery, flaky goodness, just as we’ve done for three generations.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

My late mother-in-law’s family introduced me to povitica, and they made it a special Christmas tradition for many years. After they passed away, I knew I would never master the art, but I wanted the tradition to live on with my children and their children. I ordered many, many versions before I hit upon this one, and I have never looked further. It is a superior product and so reminiscent of the povitica I was introduced to. Thanks to you, my Christmas celebration always includes povitica, and the tradition continues.

Great treat any time time of day. Very tasty , warmed or cold. Great recipe, plenty of walnut and that is good. I will definitely buy this again.

I have tried other bakeries and this one is the most authentic (sweet nut filling) similar to my Polish grandmother's! It brings back many memories and is delicious warmed up with a little butter. It disappears quickly at my house. Thank you Strawberry Hill

Wonderful. Every bit as good as my mom and aunt made when I was a kid. Better in some ways, with the walnut filling more even spread throughout each slice. Wonderful stuff.
