We wouldn’t be Strawberry Hill without the wild strawberries that are our namesake. We puree these sweet berries and fold them into velvety cream cheese with just a touch of real sugar. Then how do we get so much luscious filling rolled into our delicate, paper-thin dough? That remains Grandma’s secret.

Each hand-rolled povitica has a net weight of 2.5 pounds and is certified kosher. Shipped in our signature Strawberry Hill gift box, povitica should be refrigerated upon arrival or can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Povitica
What a delicious summer time treat! Chill in fridge first and have it with iced pink lemonade. Yummmmy

What I like about the Povitica cakes (bread?) is they are not too sweet. They are so tasty I always want another bite! This was the first loaf we have had that had air pockets all through the loaf. Considering it is prepared by rolling very thin layers, I'm surprised we have not encountered air pockets before. Of course, air pockets did not affect the wonderful taste!
