Chocolate Mocha Coffee Cake
This cake is delicious! Moist, very chocolatey, and the chunks of chocolate are the best. The crunchy, raw sugar on the top is a nice touch. I am ordering another one.

chocolate mocha coffee cake
This was the best coffee cake we have enjoyed. My husband was thrilled with the deep rich chocolate taste and texture. He asked me to buy more.

Like It with one complaint and a suggestion for improvement.
Being a chocolate lover, I do like this cake, really I do. Despite the following minor constructive criticism, I will order this delicious coffee cake again. It has a smooth dense mocha chocolate flavor. However, I did not like the grainy crunchy texture of the frosting/topping which I discovered later was presumably due to the addition of the ingredient listed as raw cane sugar (rcs) to the topping (obviously undissolved or it crystallized when cooled) in a highlighted note on the lid of the clear plastic container in which the cake is shipped and from which it is served. But for the fact the rcs was presumably and intentionally added without being dissolved (I'm guessing here), I would have had no complaint. It is what it is which begs the question: Why would a Baker intentionally add raw granular crunchy sugar to a frosting/topping thus forcing the server to explain to his/her guests: "Contrary to what you may be thinking, I didn't drop the cake on the floor and scoop it up with some grit before serving it. The gritty crunchy texture you're occasionally experiencing is coming from the frosting/topping in which the Baker saw fit to add raw cane sugar along with the yummy gourmet chocolate chunks." But for the aforesaid crunchiness coming from the topping, which I regard as a minor but poor choice, I would have given the cake a 5 star rating. I would also suggest adding a cup of chopped walnuts to the cake. Mocha Chocolate and chopped walnuts are made for each other. Yes the chopped walnuts would add crunchiness but it's not the aforesaid granular or gritty crunchiness associated with raw cane sugar.

Has it all - taste and moisture
Love this flavor but next time skip the sugar on top. This cake is so rich and moist that the crystalized sugar takes away from it. It doesn't need it. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
