English Walnut Cake Pops

🛒 Ingredients

1 loaf of Povitica
(Any flavor works! We recommend English Walnut for this recipe.)

12 oz container of frosting
(Buttercream pairs beautifully, but feel free to mix it up.)

20 oz melting chocolate
(Dark, Milk, or White Chocolate—your choice!)

38 cake pop sticks

Festive sprinkles or chopped nuts (optional, for decoration)

1. Crumble the Povitica

Remove the loaf from its packaging and crumble it into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork. Make sure there are no large chunks—this helps the cake pops hold together.

2. Mix in the Frosting

Add frosting a little at a time and mix until the crumbs come together into a soft, dough-like consistency. You want it moist enough to roll, but not sticky.

Typically you'll use 10-12 oz of your chosen frosting.

3. Roll Into Balls

Scoop and roll the mixture into evenly sized balls (we used a large cookie scoop 3 Tbs). Place them on a lined baking sheet.

4. Insert the Sticks

Melt a small amount of chocolate, dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the chocolate, then insert it halfway into each cake ball. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until firm.

5. Dip & Decorate

Melt the remaining chocolate according to package instructions. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, gently tapping off excess. While the chocolate is still wet, add sprinkles or nuts if desired.

6. Set & Enjoy

Stand the cake pops upright in a foam block or place them back on parchment paper. Let them set completely before serving—or sneak one early.
