Lots of Great Recipes - including Povitica!

Posted by Carolyn HONEYFIELD on Jul 31st 2022

I couldn't believe that the company that produces and sells Povitica, sells a recipe book that includes several recipes for the same. Until I read the recipe.... the dough is supposed to be stretched to the dimensions of a tabletop! I would never be able to get it stretched that thin. I'm lucky to get my cinnamon roll dough stretched to 12 X 15! So I guess I won't be giving Strawberry Hill any competition with baking Povitica in my own kitchen any time soon. Recipes include main dishes, salads, breads, beverages, desserts, etc.

RECIPES FROM STRAWBERRY HILL COOKBOOK (1985)

Posted by pmcNJ on Dec 3rd 2021

I saw this recipe book and I have been thoroughly enjoying the recipes. I have a green reciple book from my grandmother, who was Polish, from her church in Western NY. This recipe book complements it. I particularly enjoyed looking at the recipes by the kindergardners on pages 161-163. Put a big smile on my face.
